Future used to be a cool word
It used to mean robots and hover cars...
...and moving sidewalks
But when you start to get older
and start looking at reality
it starts to mean pressure
think about it
Its like everything leads up to college
so then you have to think about what you want to be in your future
in order to decide what you want to be
FOREVER
Its so much pressure
At first they try to make you think you should pick something you like
Then the truth comes out
Its not about what you like at all
its about MONEY $$
granted there are some parents who are understanding and open minded
but they arent all like that.
tell most of your parents you're pursuing something
like dance or acting
theyll explode -__-
When you get older its no longer about your dreams
Its about the money
The amount of pressure to pick something realistic thatll make you a lot of money it unbearable
I CANT TAKE IT!
and im going into my 3rd year of college -__-
Im thinking about switching my major
and all im getting is pressure
pressure to graduate in the next two years
pressure to pick a major that will make me a lot of money
pressure to pick a career to go with my major
SMH all i am hearing is things that are overwhelming me
I just cant decide what I want to do its so much pressure to like
decide what i want to be forever
I know I need to be realistic
but i wish i could get a little less realism
and a little more supportiveness from the people around me
Its just a lot to deal with
